Kun Mini Shoulder Rest for Children – A Personal Recommendation and Link

Shoulder rests are especially helpful for violinists who find it difficult to grasp a violin under their chin and on their shoulder, especially if the distance between their neck and mandible and/or chin is great or wide, and if certain articles of clothing particularly result in their sliding or slipping around.

Shoulder rests are a possibility in this regard in particular, and even or especially for children and student violinists, for whom muscular development and movement may not be as strong, and who thus may need greater help ergonomically than others.

As earlier established, shoulder rests are able to help violinists with left hand placement and security, and by allowing the left arm smoothly and easily to track and move up and down the fingerboard, which will assist greatly in one’s technical and musical development and sound.

I am not sponsored, affiliated, or linked with the Kun shoulder rest company, and my personal recommendation of their mini shoulder rests simply comes out from my experience and background as a professional violinist, performer, researcher, and educator, but their mini shoulder rests, which comes in an assortment or variety of wonderful colors, are a great recommendation.

Durable, safe, highly attractive, ergonomic, and very intelligently designed for children, these Kun mini shoulder rests come in an assortment of signs, from 1/8 and 1/10 to 1/2 and 1/4, as well as larger sizes and all in between. The Kun design allows for the legs of the shoulder rest to be adjusted outwards, so you can safely purchase one knowing that there can and will be a small margin for adjustment, depending on the size of your violin or student violin.

In bright, popping colors, the shoulder rests encourage young students to play, and with the integrity and intelligence of design that the Kun shoulder rest company – used by professional orchestral and solo violinists the world over – affords.

Choose from bright green to a plum purple, and gorgeous electric and chalk blue. The mini shoulder rests are able to catch and secure on a violinist while being light and strong.

Accurate violin set up – especially at a young age – will provide the framework needed for a violinist to keep their sound, technique, and left hand placement integral and essential.

I cannot more strongly recommend thee products.
